02 Jun Focus on Antibiotic Stewardship
In recognition of today’s White House summit on Antibiotic Resistance, this digest focuses on research and policy-related resources about Antibiotic Stewardship. There is ample awareness that resistance is an accelerating public health threat. Here’s hoping that the 140+ organizations participating in the summit focus their commitments not only on innovative therapies, diagnostics, research, surveillance and measurement, but also on practical strategies to change patient and prescriber behavior for the common good. A “grassroots” approach to better stewardship is essential to bending the curve on resistant infections.
