Innovation Digest – February 2023 Vol. 1

The first item in this week’s digest is a reflection on my 10 years supporting innovative change in health policy and practice, and the innovative organizations doing the hard work. I continue to be excited about emerging shifts in mindset and in the reordering of power and resources to really aim for health and well-being. Even while studies tell us we are behind on health outcomes, on equitable access and delivery of care, and on mental health, there are positive signs of change. Leadership in government, research, and scientific communities to invest in engagement and prioritization of patient perspectives. Growing calls for transparency and accountability in delivering care to all and in ways and for outcomes that matter to real people. And community-led initiatives to meet people where they are and educate, support, and lift up their power to heal. Opportunity is all around us. As I look at the next ten years, I am excited to get more involved in local, hands-on initiatives, and to continue to champion intelligent change through my professional and volunteer leadership. Thanks for being part of my journey.
